Resident evil 6 trailer - playstation game

Lets be honest, Resident Evil 5 is going to be a sucess due to it's sells in the future. So as a fan of RE, I would just like to say who would like to get the horror back in RE6. And how about some Zombies and no buff guys who can do falcon punch! I don't think RE5 is going to be any different from RE4 except the characters. Telling buy the trailers it's the same plot, same enemies, concept, and same not scary thrill. I remember when i played RE 1 and 2 was scared **bleep**less. I just want to say when RE 6 comes out i expect zombies coming out of the ground and walls, better plot with smarter motives, back tracking( i miss that), harder puzzles, Leon Kennedy, and instead of a village how bout a lab facility/ zombie home. I know i know RE5 hasn't came out. Well guess what think ahead. Your thoughts.

Early life

Aoki was born in New York City, and grew up in California and London, attending highschool at The American School in London. Her Japanese American father, Rocky Aoki, a former Olympic wrestler, was the owner and founder of the Benihana restaurant chain until his death on July 10, 2008. Her mother, Pamela Hilburger, is a jewelry designer of German and English heritage.[1]

Aoki was discovered in New York at a Rancid concert she had gatecrashed. She started modeling when she was 13, the same year Aoki was introduced by her godmother to Kate Moss, who would later take the young Devon under her wing. Moss pushed for Aoki to be signed, and she was signed onto Storm Model Management at age 14.

And then I guess from being in New York, I did this photograph for Interview Magazine called "Lovely Rita." My agency says that Kate Moss brought the picture in and told them that they should, you know, sign me. And then it happened, and then in my early career we did a lot of jobs together. She was a big help to me when I first started.

[citation needed]

In 1998, at the age of 16, Devon replaced Naomi Campbell as the face of Versace. An A-grade student at school, Devon chose not to go on to college, believing that working and traveling offered her a "broader and deeper education" than a degree.

The Mutant Chronicles and Heretics

Heretics

What is it we fight for? Our cities? Our cities filled to the brim with opportunism, indifference and greed? I know I wont miss them. Do we fight for our faith in the Light? A force that feeds us with one hand and slays us with the other? A force whose henchmen, the ever so self-righteous Brotherhood, believes that only fire can cure this world? I seek the cure in another place. Is it the Megacorporations we fight for? The five great cannibal giants that shackle us to the grind of this world and whip us into submission by means of bureaucracy and manipulation? No, I have chosen not to fight for humanity. I will fight for me. I have chosen the path of heresy. Ilian heard my prayer and accepted my pledge.

When humanity has fallen and Symmetry is all there is, we heretics shall be kings and queens in an eternal existence that will reduce mankinds time in this universe into a grain of dust in a frozen hourglass. Are we evil? Is heresy really heresy? I ask you what freedom you have now. You cannot as much as breathe without having to ask your boss for permission. You know what happened to my boss? He sits in his office still. He has been staring at the same paper for almost a year now. He is not quite dead, he is just a drone. One might say he is busy feeding the abyss now, for his work will never be done. Somewhere in the last fragments of what is left of his mind he screams for help. Well, so did I and Ilian came to save me.

The Symmetry is a constructing force that is far past the trial and error state of our existence. It is perfection. If we oppose it we will inevitably be destroyed and reconstructed against our will. But if we join we are given the choice to decide over our own destiny; a destiny that will last forever. So I ask you: What is it you fight for?
- Natasha Kincaid, heretic

Of Cathedrals and Cyberpunk

An Introduction to Mutant Chronicles

Technology has advanced. Man had built towers of steel and glass that hid the sun from the streets of his cities. He had concurred diseases and almost outwitted death. He had built great Thinking Engines to run his empire for him. He had reached to the stars, and left Earth is abandoned and lost. But he reached too far, and finally succumbed to his hubris.

A tablet found on Pluto, the outermost boundary of our solar system had released The Dark Legion into our world, and man shuddered in fear. Cities became crowded death traps, not engineering marvels. Science became a method of inventing bigger and better killing machines, not a method for improving life. People become each others enemies, not friends.

But against The Darkness, a sparkle of Light was lit in the minds, hearts, and souls of the chosen few. Theirs is the mission of taking the battle to the Darkness, of reclaiming the world for mankind. Theirs is the mission to return light to a world without light. Theirs is the mission to return faith to a world without faith. Theirs is the mission to return hope to a world without hope.

Some dry statistics

Mutant Chronicles starts out as a class based system, but drops this concept almost immediately after the initial character creation. When creating a character, the player must choose an archetype, which will effect his initial Basic Capabilities (characteristics), his Social Standing and grant him special bonuses/limitations. However, after the initial character creation the character may use the Hero Points (experience) it gained however the player sees fit, regardless of the character's archetype. The two exceptions of this rule are Brotherhood and Dark Legion characters who progress in their (un)holy paths by level.
A character is described by six Basic Capabilities - strength, physique, coordination, intelligence, mental strength and personality, and by its social standing that may be more important than all of the former capabilities put together, like in any cyberpunk campaign setting.
The character creation system relies on lots of die rolls and a large element of randomness. Not only do the players roll their basic capabilities, but they also roll on event tables to determine the events that have shaped their characters history. To the best of my knowledge, no other system puts this amount of randomness into the character creation. It is an interesting concept and can be excellent for mind storming, but it can also be somewhat disturbing for players who make up complicated background stories before sitting down to write up their characters.
Mutant Chronicles is designed to be an action-packed and flowing system. The basic consideration in the system is speed and gameflow, although it does try to make considerations of reality. Altogether, it is quite a playable system, balancing these two considerations neatly.

The Powers to Be

The world of Mutant Chronicles is divided into eight major powers who control the world. In most cases, it is quite obvious which real world powers the game refers too.
Mankind is basically divided into five major Megacorporations - Capitol (which is obviously a metaphor for the USA), Imperial (the British Empire, in its days of glory), Bauhaus (classic Europe), Mishima (the far east, especially Japan) and Cybertronic (today's so-called citizens of the global village). To handle negotiation and treaties between the Megacorporations and to coordinate the struggle against The Dark Legion, The Cartel (an obvious metaphor to today's UN) was founded. It is made up of representatives from all the Megacorporations and from the Brotherhood, but lacks any real power.
The Brotherhood is the organized religion of the world of Mutant Chronicles. It was founded to do battle against The Darkness, and so it does. However, it is not certain how many innocents have fallen pray to its Inquisition, and how many more have died because the technology that could have saved them was destroyed or was never researched under the Brotherhood's Edicts.
The Darkness is a force of pure darkness and evil, awoken by man's hubris. It not only infests the thoughts and hearts of men, slowly corrupting them, but it also physically manifests as the Dark Legion and mounts attacks on humanity's strongholds.

Religion, Heresy and Internal Contradictions

Mutant Chronicles is a game of contradictions. On the one hand, it is a cyberpunk game, a genre devoted to the lack of cause, to the disillusion about concepts like "good" and "evil" and to the concentration on the individual. On the other hand, it is a heroic game of the struggle between Light and Darkness and of the players taking the slightest spark into the midst of darkness. By reading various source books and novels, or even by paying attention to different chapters in the same book, it seems as though the game designers haven't quite made up their minds on what exactly they want their game to be. A dark cyberpunk campaign, with demons added on for extra flavoring? A heroic battle between Light and Darkness with guns and flame-throwers instead of swords and shields? Something in the middle?
Personally, after reading the rulebook, I wasn't quite sure if the descriptions of The Brotherhood were a ploy to convert players to Christianity, an ironic saying about organized religions in general, or a bit of both.
On the one hand, this void leaves the GM with a lot of space to improvise and to give the campaign his own personal taste. On the other hand, it leaves him somewhat confused by a game that gives him contradicting signs. They could have done better if they had stuck to one idea, and left players who didn't like to find a game better suiting them.

Final Words

Mutant Chronicles is a weird system and campaign setting. It started out with a burst, not only as an RPG, but also as a CCG (Doomtrooper), a board-game (Warzone) and a series of novels (In Lunacy, Frenzy and Dementia). However, it had quickly died out and the company that produced it (Target Games) no longer exists, to the best of my knowledge.
And it isn't hard to see why. Mutant Chronicles is a complicated game, full of internal contradictions. It isn't quite a cyberpunk game, yet it isn't really a heroic game. It is too simple to be realistic, yet too complicated to be completely rule-indifferent. It is definitely not a game for your average gamer.
However, if this review intrigued you, and if you enjoy throwing everything except the kitchen sink into a campaign just to see what comes out, Mutant Chronicles might just be the game for you.

As noted, Target Games no longer exists. However, if you wish to learn more, you can visit The Unofficial Mutant Chronicles RPG Website.

mutant chronicles characters

Mutant Chronicles - the RPG - will take you to a massive setting with endless ways to play. Select the heroic game with epic and world changing events or delve into the dirty and personal game of horror. Choose the setting of a war torn and multifaceted Mars, the inhospitable and steaming jungles of Venus or why not join the reconquista to recolonize Dark Eden, the long lost cradle of mankind? There are multiple fractions to choose from, all with unique characteristics and professions:

Bauhaus

Bauhaus is an aristocratic corporation who is run by proud noble families. Blood, heritage and tradition are the foundations of Bauhaus. It is a strict hierarchical society who is dominated by military customs. Bauhaus products are of the utmost quality which makes them more expensive but also more exclusive. The untamed planet Venus is Bauhaus central domain.

Capitol

Capitol is the largest of the megacorporations and has its head office in the mega city San Dorado on Mars. Its business empire dominates all markets. The reason for this is aggression and adaptability. Capitol floods the world with their corporate propaganda to pound its message of consumption into every person in the solar system. It also boasts the largest army of humanity.

Imperial

Imperial is a feudal corporation officially ruled by Her Serenity the Queen. The corporation consists of hundreds of clans that are spread out all over the solar system. Their method of business is highly controversial and the term piracy is not uncommon in describing Imperials economic strategies.

Mishima

Mishima is the fastest growing megacorporation of all. It is soon rivaling Capitol for the top slot in the business league. Even though its products are everywhere to be found no one truly knows who runs this megacorporation. All that is known is that a mysterious network known as the Tongs rule Mishima. It is not even sure that the traditional home of Mishima, Mercury, is the seat of the Tong council known as the Shang Stratum.

Sundiata

Sundiata is the smallest of the megacorporation but it has a huge advantage in their advanced technology. The origins of Sundiatas so-called bordertech is highly disputed and considering the corporations history of catastrophic events caused by high-tech experiments, it is not a bad idea to stay wary of this new technology. The Brotherhood is especially critical of Sundiata and there is no love lost between the two.

The Brotherhood

The Brotherhood is the keeper of the one true faith of humanity: The Light. Against the onslaught of the Symmetry there is no weapon more powerful than the savage force of the Light harnessed by a mystical ability known as the Art. The Brotherhood is a vast and dogmatic institution hell-bent on saving humanity with fire and blood.

The Cartel

The Cartel is the huge organization that tries to lessen the friction between the corporations to prevent another disastrous Corporate War. The last war never had a winner and only came to halt due to depletion of all warring fractions so a lot of grudges remain unsolved. The Cartels diplomats desperately try and maintain the peace but all is not as it seems. The Cartel itself has ambitions that go beyond being mere stabilization politics. It too senses power within reach and does not hesitate to grab it if the opportunity is given.

Freelancers

There have always been small freelance firms leading a risky existence outside of the gigantic corporate bodies of the Big Five. However, after the Second Corporate Wars the megacorporations was forced to sell large portions of their corporations to be able to stay economically afloat. These spawned a massive increase of freelance businesses that are more or less tied to the Big Five. They come in all shapes and sizes but have one thing in common: The fear of being swallowed by the megacorporations who now wants back what was once theirs. The only thing that stands between them and a hostile takeover is the Cartel, but the Cartel cant be everywhere.

The Symmetry

Where it came from is highly disputed. How long this utterly alien force been tormenting mankind is also unknown. According to the Brotherhood this menace is as old as humanity itself. In any case; the Symmetry is mankinds deadliest enemy. The five apostles of the Symmetry have but one goal and that is to nullify human existence. The Dark Legion of the apostles Algeroth and Demnogonis wreak havoc upon the battlefields. In cities and settlements the lurking horrors of Semai and Muawijeh attacks mankind from within. All is overseen by Ilian, the Mistress of the Void; the leader of the apostles.

Heretics

They are the traitors of mankind. Heretics are individuals who have chosen to go against humanity in the conflict with the Symmetry and doing so have become very powerful. Some wanted power; some did it out of pure hate for humanity. No matter what the reasons was they stand against a humanity that has nothing but sheer hate for them. They are not tools of the Symmetry but its allies in the war against mankind.

Enter the Era of Desperation - no matter how you play it - war is coming!

If there's one place in the solar system where you don't want to get homeless and loose your money then it's Luna City. This hectic mega city is home to all of the worst scoundrels, thieves, murderers, businessmen, war heroes and politicians. Your visit to Luna City may very well be your last.

As with all societies with distinct classes there is bound to be a certain amount of unrest. The Chain movement is the radical part of the lower classes of Bauhaus. They see themselves as freedom fighters but needless to say are regarded as terrorists by the rulers.

Mutant Chronicles Game - CMG Trailer

The crunch collectible card games are continuing to feel may have contributed to Fantasy Flight’s recent decision to make its Mutant Chronicles CMG non-random. Having already changed their significant CCG lines to “living card games” (read: non-random sets), making the same sort of move for Mutant Chronicles could be an excellent preemptive move for FFG to avoid becoming part of the seemingly-inevitable CMG crunch - which some say is already upon us. Makes me wonder if the supposed “packaging problems” the company had just after GTS were really problems, or a product launch being thrown into a sharp turn before heading down a new path. Mutant Chronicles Game and Movie

Mutant Chronicles is a pen-and-paper role-playing game set in a post-apocalyptic world, originally published in 1993. It has spawned a franchise of card games, miniature wargames, video games, novels, comic books, and a movie based on the game world. A collectible miniatures game by Fantasy Flight Games is due for release in June 2008.

Mutant Chronicles was developed by the Swedish company Target Games as a successor of their earlier Mutant RPG series. The rights to the game are now owned by Paradox Entertainment.

In 2006, the Swedish game company COG Games secured the license rights to publish a new edition of the role-playing game, for which there currently is no release date.

Story

The game takes place in a distant future, where the Earth is a long since plundered desert, and humanity has spread to the worlds of Venus, Mars, Mercury, Luna (the first settlement following the exodus from Earth), and the Asteroid Belt.

Over the centuries, the traditional nation-states of the world have merged into huge corporations, of which five are large enough to be called megacorporations: Bauhaus, styled after the culture of continental Europe, the American-influenced Capitol, the Japanese-themed Mishima, the British-inspired Imperial, and Cybertronic, all of whom use private military forces to fight for resources. Luna itself is considered to be neutral ground and is home to the massive city-state known as Luna City. The other major power of this universe is the Brotherhood, a fanatical religious organization formed to meet the threat of the Dark Legion, an ancient evil comprised of five "Dark Apostles" and their horde of hideous mutants.

The reign of the Dark Legion began as mankind set foot on Nero, a fictional 10th planet beyond the orbit of Pluto, where they discovered a citadel. As they entered, the Imperial Conquistadors – a group of interplanetary explorers – accidentally broke the First Seal Of Repulsion, a thin ring of salt spread around the citadel. Inside, a mysterious iron plate was found, and as it was touched, the Dark Legion was brought to our dimension, and along with it, the Dark Symmetry.

The Dark Symmetry prevents computers and other electronic devices from functioning reliably, if at all, and initially caused complete chaos, and then a forced adaptation of the technology used by mankind. The Dark Legion is capable of faster than light-travel, utilizing certain points in space, much like wormholes.

The Dark Legion is the enemy of all mankind and commands the most powerful armies of the solar system, including Legionnaires, resurrected corpses of fallen Megacorp heroes; Necromutants, hideously modified humanoids; Centurions, the lethal lieutenants of the Dark Legion; and Nepharites, fearsome, towering behemoths of unimaginable power.
